To start, none of these are gifted. I spend my own money on these meal prep services, so there is NO bias. We're breaking it down on a pro + con list. Listen to the podcast for more details!
But here is a quick glimpse of my pro + con list:
Factor
Pro:
- Good taste
- Menu changes weekly, so you don't get tired of the same meals.
- Protein rich - I love their protein line has meals with on average 40grams of protein!
Con:
- Quality of ingredients. Most of the ingredients are okay, but there are some ingredients that I wouldn't recommend, such as a mold inhibitor in the cheese they use. In addition, they are not organic.
- Dairy heavy - so if you aren't able to do dairy or a lot of dairy, Factor may not be ideal for you.
- Their seafood is most likely farm-raised. Added color to their salmon, which indicates farm-raised fish. If you do purchase Factor, I would recommend steering clear from their seafood dishes.
- Pricing is about $14/meal

Pro:
- Tries to stick with wholesome ingredients - I feel that their ingredients are majority good and whole foods. They are coming out with a super Green Line but it's only available to NY right now.
- Pricing is cheaper than others at $11.69/meal.
- The flavor and quality of the meal is one of the best. It tastes fresh, like if a chef truly whipped this up in my kitchen and meal prepped it for me. (More I talk about in the podcast)
- Options to choose from are the largest amount from all of the other ones I've tried.
- I feel like their packaging they put their food in is the least toxic.
- Macros are really great. I find my meals that I choose are ranging from 35g-almost 50grams!
Con:
- Overwhelmed at ordering, but that's more of a me thing.
- They do use seed oils!
Snap Kitchen
Pro:
- Taste good (outside of the spicyness)
- Protein amount is decent!
- Higher quality ingredients - organic ingredients, clean.
Con:
- Menu only change 6-8 weeks. This can create really repetitive meals overtime.
- Everything feels pretty spicy - their meals have A LOT of black pepper in it. I'm super sensitive/don't like spicy foods. This may not be a big deal who likes meals with heat, but I'm a baby over here!
- Pricing varies from $11-$15 per meal.
- It seems to be delivered nation-wide!
Trifecta Nutrition
Pro:
- Emphasizes quality! On their Values page, they share all about how they source their proteins (beef is grass-fed, seafood is wild caught (sometimes responsibly raised), etc. They follow the dirty dozen and clean fifteen from EWG.
- They have basic groups: keto, GLP-1, clean eating, paleo/whole30.
- They seem to change recipes often!
- They have a banned ingredient list to ensure high quality, like preservatives, certain oils, artificial flavorings, etc.
- Macros are decent! Protein in meals are typically between 30-50 grams.
Con:
- Their probably one of the more expensive ones coming in at $110/week.
- The taste did not impress me. Food was dry and didn't have a ton of flavor.
